Life took a full circle for Sakshi and Jay, when they first met through a common friend at his engagement which led them to eventually tie the knot in a simple yet elegant wedding at the Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai. Bon Evento made their dream wedding come true with their impeccable taste and designs keeping in mind the minutest details while planning. Ganesh Pooja and Haldat-- The venue was decorated in green and yellow hues, birds, flowers, and the highlight was the couple’s miniature dolls which added a personal touch to this private function. Held at the bride’s residence, this Marwari function saw all the married ladies in the house acquaint the new bride-to-be with her daily responsibilities at her new home. Sangeet-- The Sangeet gala decorated with their wedding hashtag #inkeJAYSAkoinahi enticed the guests near the entranceway to take their cameras out and click pictures. After a stunning entrance where the couple entered with a flash mob and enthralling dance performances by their families on famous hit tracks, the couple exchanged rings and celebrated the evening by cutting a chandelier designed cake. Bhaat-- The day started early with a Bhaat ceremony initiated by the bride’s maternal family. It was aptly decorated with colorful elements such as swings, teapots, crates, and ladders. Her girl squad held glittering balloons to welcome her. Haldi-- For the haldi function, as Sakshi was smeared by the traditional turmeric paste, she was showered with buckets full of water and tons of marigold petals by her family and friends. Mehendi-- Their mehendi function incorporated all things the couple fancied from cricket, coke, and fries to a tattoo artist who drew a semi-permanent design depicting their wedding logo that was integrated with the mehendi and stood out with its black color. All the boys in the family got ‘JAYHO’ painted on their palms, so when everyone did the namaste to welcome the guests, they would see the wedding hashtag. Wedding-- Their wedding was a vibrant affair, as it observed a rich yellow color palette owing to Jay’s love for pineapples and Sakshi’s fondness for potatoes. It was adorned with fresh pineapples and placards displaying funny anecdotes for their tabletops. With a live potato corner serving fries, mashed potatoes, wedges, potato shots, the guests eagerly made their way to the stall. However, the highlight was the split personality photo-booth which expressed Sakshi’s persona with Bollywood elements on one side and Jay’s persona with Lord Shiva’s psychedelic musical elements on the other, creating a fun twist. As soon as the couple exchanged their varmalas, the Gayatri Mantra was played while the bubble machines blew bubbles into the air.
